En las últimas horas la ciudad de Los Ángeles se convirtió en la anfitriona de la 74ª edición de los Premios Emmy. Una de las series favoritas de la noche, The White Lotus, acumuló cinco galardones, de los que dos fueron para Mike White, por mejor dirección de miniserie y guion. Junto a The White Lotus (HBO), las series de drama Succession (HBO Max) y la de comedia Ted Lasso (Apple TV+) consiguieron el galardón a las mejores series del año en sus categorías, en el caso de Ted Lasso por segundo año consecutivo.
